Yes it is, and it's beautiful.
well, jon, technically most of us have been doing the easy, poetry class "haiku" on here. carly is an actual poet... you can trust her work. if you want to feel like an ass, read this page written by a haiku nazi: http://members.aol.com/usdare2/kuisnt.htm but don't change anything about the way you've been doing it. i doubt the rest of us will.
